WEEK #169 ICS214

GE, Operators.

Welcome to Week #169.

Our multi-week exercise continues…

We’ll assume that everyone’s station is up and running at their assigned locations. Our next step will be starting an ICS214 to keep track of what’s going on.
Please open an ICS214 and put your assigned location in the header (your preferred location from Week #167).
The Incident Name is still: Hazard County Blizzard.
The Operational Period will begin with your Week #167 submission. The From: will be TBD or leave it blank for now.
ICS Position is Radio Operator (RO) and your location (Example: RO Hazard Cty EMS)
For Home Agency and Unit, put whichever EmComm group you belong to in real life (Ex: OCEAN CTY ARES). If you don’t belong to an EmComm group put Disasterville AUXCOMM.
For Resources Assigned, put Eddie Haskell; Wally Cleaver and Theodore Cleaver – all ROs for your EmComm group.
And begin your assigned location’s activity log.
Don’t forget to click on SAVE ICS214 DATA at the bottom of the form. Close the form after doing that and go back to your real life. There is nothing to send in this week. Just get your ICS214 going. We’ll continue next week.
[NOTE: There’s more to Winlink than sending messages. Getting in the habit of saving your data is crucial in an EmComm environment. So, we practice. I say this as someone that’s forgotten to save data more than a few times in exercises.]

Have fun!
