GE, Operators.
Welcome to Week #85.
Last week you were assigned from your FIRE/EMS Station or Shelter to the Hazard County EOC. You documented this on an ICS210 and saved it for future use. This week you will remain at the EOC, so there is no new information for the ICS210 this time around.
This week’s exercise:
The Hazard County EOC is relying heavily on ham radio operators to move emergency traffic around the county and up to the state OEM. They have asked you to recruit some additional operators to handle the excess of Winlink traffic. To do this, you will do a NEARBY Operators search (Select Template/Standard Templates/Mapping-GIS Forms/Catalog Map Capable Downloads).
Select WL2K_NEARBY to find the nearest 30 operators to your location. Click the Submit button to post the inquiry to your Outbox. Open a session and send your inquiry. Wait a few minutes and open another session to receive your reply.
Now look through the list of operators and find the three that have been on the air most recently.
