GE, Operators.
Welcome to Week #143.
Let’s do some work for the Red Cross.
Here’s the situation: The ARC has dispatched its people to set up shelters at predetermined locations in Hazard County. The Hazard County EOC has assigned amateur radio operators to handle communications for the shelters.
The first order of business is to let the ARC leadership know if your shelter is ready and able to accept occupants.
I have sent an ARC213 General Message Form to everyone that participated in last week’s net. There are two replies below. Use the last number in your street address to determine which message to reply with.
YOUR SHELTER IS THE PHONETIC OF THE FIRST LETTER OF YOU FIRST NAME (EXAMPLE: TIM = SHELTER TANGO)
ODD #: SHELTER ________ IS ACTIVATED AND READY TO ACCEPT RESIDENTS. WILL SEND RESOURCE REQUEST ASAP.
APPROVED BY: TEX MAXWELL - SHELTER MGR
EVEN #: SHELTER _________ WILL BE ACTIVATED BY 1000L. LIMIT TO 50 OCCUPANTS UNTIL RESUPPLIED. RESOURCE REQUEST ASAP
APPROVED BY: RAY TARRINGTON - SHELTER MGR
Send your reply to SNJARC.
That’s it. Have fun!
